The AI practice ride

What happens to what you type when you practice with the AI.

What you tell it about your kid (age, how they tend to react, what happened if you describe your own night, any note you add, and what your kid calls you) and the lines you type are sent to Anthropic’s AI so it can play the ride and give feedback. We don’t save them on our side, unless you choose to send a ride to Aaron. For My practice we keep only son or daughter, the sport and the name of the common night you picked. Your browser keeps the ride for a few hours, so you can pick up where you left off, and remembers what your kid calls you. That copy stays in your browser.

If you mark a ride useful or not, we count it, nothing more. If you send a ride to Aaron, he gets what you typed, the AI kid’s replies, the feedback you saw and your note, plus your email only if you tick that box. Sent rides are deleted after 180 days.

To keep the practice honest, about 1 in 10 rides gets a second look from the same AI, which scores how well the practice worked. We keep the scores, not the words.

Anthropic says it doesn’t use this kind of data to train its models, and it deletes it within 30 days, unless its safety systems flag something or the law requires keeping it longer. Please leave names and other identifying details out of what you type.

If you use the Talk button, your browser’s own speech service (from Apple or Google, depending on your device) turns your voice into text. We only get the text, and only if you send it.

Behind the scenes

Who helps us run the site

Each of these companies gets only what it needs for its part.

  • NetlifyHosts the site and keeps your account.
  • StripeTakes payment and sends your receipt.
  • TwilioTexts your sign-in codes.
  • ResendEmails your sign-in codes, seat invites and, if you ask, the card and its notes.
  • AnthropicRuns the AI practice ride.

Your browser

Cookies and tracking

No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

One cookie keeps you signed in, for up to 400 days or until you sign out. A second tells the pages you have access.

If you try the free practice ride, one more cookie remembers that you’ve had it. It holds no name, email or anything you typed.

If you open a link another parent sent you, one cookie keeps their code for 60 days, so their $20 off goes on at checkout.

Your progress through the practice questions stays in your own browser and is never sent to us. To stop abuse, we count requests using a scrambled version of your internet address that can’t be turned back into it.

We also keep simple daily totals, like how many practice rides started and how many people clicked to buy. They’re just numbers, with nothing about who.
