Draft for Aaron to review. Not legal advice; have a lawyer check it before launch.
Terms
The short version: this is education and practice for parents. The AI can get things wrong, and you know your kid best. What you say and do is your call.
What this is
Education, not professional advice
- Practice and ideas for parentsThe Ride Home teaches ways to talk with your kid about their sport, drawn from published sport psychology research. It is general education. It is not medical, mental health, counseling or legal advice, and it doesn’t replace a doctor, counselor or other professional.
- No consulting relationshipAaron Lewis is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. Using this site doesn’t make him your consultant or your kid’s, and nothing here is advice about your family in particular.
- Serious concernsIf you’re worried about your kid’s safety or health, talk to someone who can help, like your kid’s doctor or a school counselor. If anyone is in danger, call 911. In the US you can also call or text 988, any time.
The AI practice
What the AI does, and what it can’t
- It can get things wrongThe practice uses an AI. The kid it plays is simulated, and real kids vary. Its replies, and the way it sorts what you said, can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. Treat it as practice, not a prediction of how your kid will react.
- The notes are generalThe notes on how a line tends to land describe what research suggests tends to happen in general. They aren’t a judgment of you as a parent, or a promise about your kid.
- For adultsThe practice is for parents and other adults who care for young athletes. It isn’t meant for kids to use, and it isn’t for anyone under 13.
Your part
Your decisions are yours
- You decide what to doWhat you say to your kid, and what you do about their sport, are your decisions. You’re responsible for them and for how they turn out. We aren’t responsible for decisions you make, or their outcomes, based on anything on this site or in the practice.
- Use it fairlyPlease don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break or misuse the AI, copy the content in bulk, or share your access beyond the second seat that comes with it. We may limit or end access that’s misused.
Buying
Price, refunds and fair use
- One timeThe Ride Home is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled by Stripe.
- RefundsTry it for 30 days. If it doesn’t help, email hello@theridehome.co and you’ll get a full refund.
- Sending a free rideIf you have The Ride Home, you can send another parent a link. They get a free practice ride and $20 off if they buy. If they buy and keep it past their 30-day refund window, we refund $20 to the card you paid with, up to four times. It doesn’t apply to your own purchases, gifts, or free access. It ends if your purchase is refunded, and we may stop it if it’s misused.
- GiftsYou can buy The Ride Home for someone else. You get a gift link to send them; anyone with the link can open it once. The 30-day refund applies to the person who bought the gift, and refunding a gift ends the access it gave.
- Fair useThe AI practice has daily limits so it stays available and affordable for everyone. Normal use stays well inside them.
- ChangesWe may improve or change the site and the practice over time. If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll say so on this page.
